The Last Week of the Adelaide Fringe - MUST SEE ACTS
It's been the biggest Adelaide Fringe EVER - with more acts, more tickets and an insane amount of quality.
With just ONE WEEK left of the Fringe, here are the acts you MUST SEE if you haven't.
My Final Deceit
11 Adelaide Fringe 2016 MUST SEE Acts!
It's that time of the year again, Adelaide is set to go off with the biggest Adelaide Fringe lineup EVER!
With over 1,100 acts across a month it can be overwhelming - but I am here to help!
Below are my TOP Acts to see at the Adelaide Fringe in 2016 - Part 2 will follow early in 2016!
Edit: Now updated to add even more acts!
How I gave away a career, for a life.
A little over two years ago I lost passion for the 9-5 life, and despite working at an awesome company with some fantastic people and a big salary it was no longer an environment I wanted to live my life within.
I left that world, and took the biggest risk imaginable by wanting to embark on a career in the entertainment industry.
Adelaide Fringe Award Winner
Over the past the past four years I have been fortunate enough to produce and star in a brand new stage show every twelve months which have debuted each time in my home town at the Adelaide Fringe.
In 2012, "MindBlown" was the first production focusing specifically on Close-Up Magic - it was a huge success and won the People's Choice Adelaide Fringe Award.
In 2013 my first stage production "3" featured fellow Adelaide performers Vinh Giang and Shahin Zareei. It debuted to a sold out run, where we released a further 8 shows due to popularity. It was also awarded an Adelaide Fringe Award.
Adelaide Fringe MUST SEE Acts - The Final 5 Days
Every year the Fringe seems to go quicker than ever, despite going over more days than ever before.
This year again has been highly successful for my show Deception: More Deceit but my favourite thing about the Fringe is the ability to explore other performances and really experience something new.
With only five days to go it's tough to decide on what to see, here are the five acts I strongly recommend as must see shows before the Fringe is over!
Magician Drinks Acid
Every now and then a magician wants to push the boundaries of what is considered "magic" and break into the thin line between what is real, and what is magic.
Enter Vietnamese magician Tran Tan Phat and his appearance on "Vietnam's Got Talent" on Sunday.
The "Russian Roulette" Plot has existed for centuries in magic, and though the performance differs often with different risks, the plot is usually the same:
Magician shows risk associated with danger element
Magician has 'safe' elements
Magician nor the audience have no idea which element is which, after a random shuffle
The Must See Acts of the Adelaide Fringe 2015
The Adelaide Fringe returns in 2015 a little under three months. Just let that sink in a little.
As an artist, producer and writer of an award winning show for the past three years at the Adelaide Fringe I like to think I have a pretty good idea of what makes a good show, and what doesn't. It's tough to see too many shows when you perform every night - so I make sure the shows I choose are the very best.
Below is a selection of the shows I strongly recommend for the Adelaide Fringe in 2015 as the "Best Acts of the Adelaide Fringe" though the best thing about the Fringe is finding new acts for yourself - there are hundreds of hidden gems out there so go and explore!
Magic for Movember
On Wednesday 26th of November Vinh Giang, Isaac Lomman and myself will be aiming to raise $15,000 in all the name of supporting Mens Health as part of November, and you have the chance to help!
Official Port Adelaide Football Club Ambassador
Back in 1996 I was a Glenelg Primary School student, I played football on my recess and lunch breaks on Glenelg Oval and I spent my weekends at Glenelg watching the Tigers take on their SANFL enemies. In the AFL I "supported" Richmond because of the tiger connection, and one man; Matthew Richardson.
